Privacy policy

Last updated: 5 September2026

This policy explains how Waggle ("Waggle", "we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you visit wagglesupps.com, buy from us, sign up to our emails or texts, or contact us.

1. Who we are

Waggle is the controller of your personal data. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, email store@wagglesupps.com.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Contact and order details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, the products you buy, and any returns, refunds or cancellations.
  • Payment details: payments are handled by our payment providers. We don't see or store your full card number.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your login details and preferences.
  • Messages: anything you send us, for example through our contact form or by email, including information you share about your order or your dog (such as a reaction to a product).
  • Marketing preferences: whether you've signed up to our emails or texts, and how you interact with them, such as opens and clicks.
  • Device and usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, products added to your cart, and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We don't ask for sensitive personal data (such as information about your health). Please don't send it to us.

3. How we use your data, and our legal bases

  • To process, deliver and support your order, including returns, refunds and customer service: to perform our contract with you.
  • To send order and delivery updates: to perform our contract with you.
  • To send marketing emails or texts: with your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
  • To use non-essential cookies for analytics and advertising: with your consent.
  • To prevent fraud, keep our store secure, handle payment disputes, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims: our legitimate interests.
  • To look into product concerns and reactions you report: our legitimate interests, and to meet our legal obligations.
  • To improve our store, products and service: our legitimate interests.
  • To keep tax and accounting records and comply with the law: legal obligation.

We need your contact, delivery and payment details to fulfil an order. Without them we can't process it.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders and payments (see section 5);
  • payment providers, to take payments, issue refunds, prevent fraud and handle disputes;
  • delivery carriers and fulfilment partners, to pack and deliver your order;
  • Klaviyo, our email and text marketing provider, to send messages you've agreed to receive;
  • apps that power features of our store, such as bundle offers;
  • analytics and advertising partners, such as social media platforms, where you've agreed to cookies;
  • professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it or to protect our rights;
  • a buyer or successor, if Waggle or its assets are sold or transferred.

Our service providers may only use your data to provide their services to us, except where they act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

5. Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes personal data to provide and improve its services. When you use certain Shopify features (such as Shop Pay or the Shop app), or where Shopify uses data from your visits to our store and other merchants for its own enhanced features, Shopify is responsible for that processing. To learn more, read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can exercise your rights over that data through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our store work, for example to keep items in your cart. With your consent, we also use them to understand how our site is used and to show you relevant ads. You can change your choices at any time through the cookie settings on our site or in your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect how the store works. Where the law requires it, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out of targeted advertising.

7. International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside Ireland, the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, for example in Canada and the United States. When your data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we rely on an adequacy decision or on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (or the UK equivalent). You can ask us for more information.

8. How long we keep it

  • Order, payment and tax records: 6 years, to meet tax and accounting rules.
  • Customer service messages and product reports: as long as we need to resolve them and deal with any related claim.
  • Account details: until you delete your account or ask us to.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe. We keep a minimal record that you've unsubscribed so we don't contact you again.
  • Cookie data: for the period set by each cookie.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • restrict or object to how we use it, including objecting to direct marketing at any time;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it).

To exercise these rights, email store@wagglesupps.com. We may need to verify your identity. We'll reply within one month, which the law allows us to extend in some cases. Some rights are limited; for example, we must keep order records for tax purposes.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; or the authority where you live, such as the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand or Canada, or the Information Regulator in South Africa. We'd appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first.

10. Automated checks

Our store and payment providers use automated checks to help detect fraud, which may result in an order being held or cancelled. If this happens and you think it's a mistake, contact us and a person will review it.

11. Children

Our store is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect children's personal data. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

12. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, and our providers use industry-standard security such as encryption for payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account details private.

13. Other websites

Our site may link to other websites. We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we'll tell you where appropriate.
